With the support of our generous community, we’ve built a strong and sustainable clinical research program at Providence St. Joseph Hospital.

At age 97, Bernie was diagnosed with neuroendocrine cancer, which had spread throughout his body. During one of his first appointments, his oncologist Dr. Timothy Byun asked Bernie if he wanted to fight or let nature take its course. Bernie didn’t hesitate. “If there’s a chance, I want to fight this.”

Every day, thousands of patients, like Stephen Shirley, rely on Providence St. Joseph Hospital for another chance at life.

Anyone who’s met Providence St. Joseph Hospital’s noninvasive cardiology medical director Thomas C. Kim, M.D., FACC, appreciates his sense of humor and down-to-earth manner. Dr. Kim brings incredible value to the hospital, its Foundation, and most importantly, our community and patients.

After his wife’s passing from cancer, Ken began to research the significant impact Providence St. Joseph Hospital had within the community.

We celebrate this accomplishment with our loyal community of donors — because your support has helped expand our range of comprehensive programs needed to be a leader in cardiovascular care.

It was another swinging success for Providence St. Joseph Hospital Foundation as it hosted its annual golf tournament.
