Nursing Center of Excellence
What Inspires You?
Looking in a patient’s eyes to ask “what do you really need today?” That’s empathy. That’s nursing at St. Joseph Hospital.
To maintain and grow our world-class care, we must support our nurses.
45% of 2020 fundraising goal achieved with the help of neighbors like you
Nursing Excellence means continuous education. Patients receive better care and clinical outcomes are improved when the majority of a hospital’s nurses have at least a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, with an increasing need for nurses with a master’s or doctorate degree.
Goal: $2.5 million
Whether it’s emergency, surgery, critical care, cardiology, oncology, or any other area, specialty training is vital to keep nurses up-to-date. With donor support, we can help continue their education through training workshops, seminars and conferences.
Goal: $1.5 million
Healthcare technology innovations are best used by skilled and caring nurses. While the best patient care always starts with compassion and a strong clinical aptitude, the ability to create high-quality, caring experience is often enhanced using advanced medical technology and devices.
Goal: $4.5 million
To ensure St. Joseph Hospital is always able to attract, retain and develop the best nurses, we have established a Nursing Excellence Endowment Fund. This will support excellence in nursing into perpetuity.
Goal: $2.5 million

SUPPORT OUR WORK
Now, more than ever, our community needs St. Joseph Hospital and compassionate neighbors like you.
“Our organization is unique in part because of the partnership that exists between the Foundation and the hospital itself. As chief philanthropy officer, I partner closely with our senior leadership team to identify areas of opportunity – and together we connect those opportunities with compassionate, generous donors.”
—Amy Daugherty, Chief Philanthropy Officer
"The generosity of our community during COVID-19 has overwhelmed us. We are grateful for the countless donations received. But so many more challenges lie ahead. If you can, please make a donation and support our mission. On behalf of all, we thank you."
