Nurses Get Special ‘Thank-You’ With Goat Yoga

Orange County nurses became a part of the herd Monday as a thank-you from two local donors.

Nurses working at Providence St. Joseph Hospital received a unique ‘thank you’ at Goods and Goats Market in San Juan Capistrano.

More than a dozen Emergency Care Center nurses enjoyed a morning of “caprine vinyasa” — otherwise known as goat yoga — courtesy of the Providence St. Joseph Hospital Foundation.

The goat yoga session was held through donations from former patients Melissa and Michael Lora. The Loras have been funding goat yoga sessions for nurses out of gratitude for their effort and sacrifices during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“These nurses have worked through such challenging times, and we are excited to join them in such a fun activity that also allows them to decompress with their peers,” Melissa Lora said.
