“Our grateful heart extends to giving back to those with whom we have come to build respectful, trusting and giving relationships.”
Corporate Partners Encourage Giving
B&B Plumbing owner joins Foundation Board
Bill John’s first experience with Providence St. Joseph Hospital was when he was asked to provide a plumbing repair service at the hospital after the passing of his boss in the early 1980s.
Bill and Elaine have now owned B&B Plumbing, Inc. for 36 years with a corporate focus on making a difference — a change for the better. “Philanthropy and volunteerism are beautifully woven patterns in thread of our company,” said Elaine. “Our B&B team is given opportunities for involvement with our community by giving their time, volunteering and/or giving back with treasures.”
“We are a service-based company, therefore social responsibility came pretty naturally and begins at the time of hire,” shared Bill. “Whether preparing meals at the Isaiah House in Santa Ana, wrapping gifts for children during the holidays or giving to our most recent campaign of building a well in a third-world country, we unite as a team.”
B&B Plumbing, Inc. has been a Corporate Partner at Providence St. Joseph Hospital since 2006, having supported fundraising
events, the Annual Kids Christmas Celebration and other fundraisers from the hospital. “We have met so many wonderful people during our decades of involvement,” recalled Elaine. “We’ve had amazing experiences throughout our journey.
“Our grateful heart extends to giving back to those with whom we have come to build respectful, trusting and giving relationships,” said Elaine.
The Johns encourage other businesses to get involved with the Foundation. “Be the change, the hope and the kind heart that can leave a lasting impact in the lives of others,” said Elaine. “Reach in, gift the time by volunteering or give of your treasures. Any amount of this will result in big change.”
The Foundation is honored to welcome Elaine as a new Foundation board member this year and looks forward to the impact that she will have on the Board.
