Meet Our New Chief Nursing Officer
A passionate leader for our ministry’s nursing staff
Congratulations to Michelle Genova, MSN, RNC-OB, Providence St. Joseph Hospital’s new chief nursing officer.
Since joining in 1997 as a nurse in the labor and delivery department, she has continued to excel in several leadership roles — most recently as the executive director of nursing for women’s and children’s services for the past six years.
Michelle has continuously demonstrated her commitment to advancing several initiatives through her compassionate leadership. She has been essential in expanding new services and enhancing quality and safety procedures to improve the patient experience. She helped Providence St. Joseph earn Magnet® designation, the highest recognition for nursing excellence, for its fourth time.
In 2020, Michelle was presented the Living Our Values Award for exemplifying the mission of Providence St. Joseph in her work.
Throughout her years of leadership, Michelle has incorporated philanthropy into her various roles by supporting numerous initiatives herself. She has been a key leader in the design and fundraising efforts for our new Helen Caloggero Women’s and Family Center that broke ground earlier this year.
“We appreciate the dedication of our donors,” shares Michelle. “Without their help, the mission and vision would not be made real. Our goal is to continue with purpose in helping families be healthy and strong.”
Please join us in celebrating Michelle’s new role within the Providence St. Joseph family!
