2024 Physician Champion honoree

Providence St. Joseph Hospital Foundation proudly honors Brian Lee, M.D., as the 2024 Philanthropy Physician Champion. Dr. Lee’s leadership and philanthropic spirit set a gold standard for physician involvement in advancing the hospital’s mission.

As a longstanding member of the Foundation board of directors and the Physician Leadership Council, he plays a crucial role in guiding the hospital’s philanthropic efforts. His strategic insight and dedication have been instrumental in identifying needs and shaping fundraising opportunities that drive the Foundation’s initiatives forward.

One of Dr. Lee’s remarkable qualities is his personal engagement with donors. Whenever a donor visits the emergency department, he takes the time to check on their care personally, ensuring they understand the immense value their support brings to the hospital. This personal touch strengthens relationships and fosters a deep sense of connection and gratitude among donors.

Dr. Lee’s dedication to the hospital’s mission is mirrored by his generosity and that of his wife, Kimi. Together, they are advocates for supporters of the hospital.  Dr. Lee’s personal contributions include donating charging lockers for the emergency department waiting room, addressing a common need and providing a valuable resource for patients and their families.
