COVID Hometown Heros in Orange County
We are impacting lives in Orange County everyday with the generous support of donors.

“Countless donations raised $175K+ and more than 155 in-kind donations provided personal protective equipment, shower kits and meals for our caregivers.”
Hometown Heroes
At St. Joseph Hospital, our caregivers and medical staff work together to maintain and broaden our continuum of care and are committed to nurturing the spiritual, emotional and physical well-being of the Dear Neighbor.
St. Joseph Hospital began preparations early for COVID-19, as sister ministries in Washington and then Oregon began seeing patients. Those ministries were quick to share their response to the disease and treatment across the organization of 51 ministries, which saved valuable time. Unfortunately, one battle every hospital has faced is access to PPE (personal protective equipment), but being a part of a strong system has allowed us to secure supplies needed by our frontline caregivers and creating a safe environment to continue providing the best patient care and outcomes possible.
On April 19, our community hosted a parade with a seemingly never-ending line of cars, trucks, and motorcycles with the Orange Police and Orange Fire Departments leading and closing the parade. What an incredibly uplifting experience to see our community come together in a show of support for St. Joseph Hospital! The parade brought incredible joy to our caregivers. Special thank you to community member Sabrina Revera for organizing this event.
We here at St. Joseph Hospital strive to improve the health and quality of life in our community and remain steadfast in serving all with compassion, dignity, justice, excellence, and integrity. Thank you, Dear Neighbor, for being a community partner for us, and we will remain that for you. While our world has changed, our community has grown closer together. Thank you for your continued support.
