Community comes together to raise $1.4 million for advanced cancer care care 

It was more than just a beautiful day on the green — it was a powerful show of our community in action. On May 11, 2025, golfers teed off at Coto de Caza Golf & Racquet Club for the annual Providence St. Joseph Hospital Golf Tournament, presented by title sponsor Centaurus Financial, Inc. Together, they raised a record-breaking $1.4 million to advance cancer services and ensure world-class care stays close to home.

The tournament proceeds will help expand access to leading-edge technology and lifesaving programs, including the hospital’s next linear accelerator, which delivers faster, more precise radiation therapy for adults and children with complex cancers. In addition, the funds will strengthen cancer research, clinical trials, nurse navigation and genetic counseling services, ensuring every patient receives coordinated, leading-edge care.

This year’s tournament also honored three exceptional physicians for their commitment to oncology excellence: Robert B. Ash, M.D., Venita Williams, M.D., and Tanuja Bhandari, M.D.
